It is one of the most attracted places in the Kullu valley. This palace showcases all the miniature paintings with the backgrounds of rural culture with no human paintings on it. All the miniature paintings are of simple themes and are done in the Kullu style.

2 Raghunathji Temple

This temple was made in the 17th century by King Jagat Singh of Kullu. This temple is the housing of Lord Raghunathji in his chariot. This is a major attraction of Kullu. This temple is highly adorned by the people of Kullu. Raghunathji is the presiding god of the place.

3 Bijli Mahadev Temple

This temple is situated in Sultanpur. This temple holds a great religious significance. Thus, it is considered to be a major sightseeing tour.

4 Jagganathi Devi Temple

This temple is located about 4kms away from Kullu. This temple is on a cliff. One has to climb the cliff to reach this temple. This temple being on the cliff provides a beautiful scenic beauty of the valley to the visitors.

5 Basheshwar Mahadev Temple

This temple is dedicated to lord Shiva. This Basheshwar Mahadev Temple was built long ago in the 9th century on the bank of the rivers Beas. This temple is about 15 kms away from the Kullu. The temple houses a large pyramidal shaped idol of “Yoni-Lingam”, which represents Lord Shiva and his consort goddess Pārbati. The exquisite stone carvings of the temple surely deserve a visit. Outside the main temple there are three-sided shrines, which house Goddess Durga, Lord Vishnu and Lord Ganesha. This temple is believed to be built by the Pandavas.

6 Akhara Bazaar

It is a shopping area in the Kullu valley. It is a very famous shopping area. It has numerous shops selling different items like that of Kullu Caps, woolen apparels, rugs, carpets, etc. All the things from regular use to luxury use can be found in this shopping area. 7 Kaisdhar

This temple is also known as the Vaishno Devi temple by the common people. This temple is located on the Kullu Manali road, which is about two kilometers away from the Kullu valley. This is though, a newly founded temple, but its acknowledgement is no less than any other old temples.

10 Nagger

Naggar which is about 21 Kilometers from Manali town was Kullu’s capital for almost 1400 years. It has a castle, which was built by wood and stone in the 16th century.

At present, it is a hotel, which is being run by the Himachal Tourism. This place has a gallery, which has many painting of Nicholas Roerich, the renowned Russian artist.

11 Temple of Narsingh

The temple of Devta NarSingh is the famous temple of the God “Narsingh”, which is situated in the Sultanpur block of the Kullu district.

12 Katrain

Katrain is the widest point in whole of the Kullu. It has the Baragarh peak on a side. This place is also famous because of its orchards.

13 Deo Tibba

This place was mentioned in the great epic of Mahabharata and was identified as Indralika. It was said that Arjuna had performed the penance at this place to obtain the Pashupati Astra from. This being a historical event is also one of the tourist attractions at Kullu.

There are many other attractions at Kullu. Kullu is not only famous for its monuments and temples, but also it is extremely famous for its scenic beauty. During winters, you may not receive snowfall, but the snow clad peaks look mesmerizing.
